- One way they mislead you is that they use glue to make the hamurger bun not soggy.
- To make the chicken look good, they stuff the chicken with paper towels to make it look all plumed. They also clean it with dish soap.
- They use glad plastic bags to keep the fake icecream in perfect condition.
2.What is an urban legend? (Hint: Select the right site link to find out the answer to my question.) Name one.
- An urban legend is a legend that has been passed down from one person to the next. An example of an urban legend is big foot!
3. Read a couple of these Tech Tales. Do you believe they qualify as Urban Legends? Hoaxes? What is one significant challenge for people who provide tech support by phone?
- To me these are not urban legends, they are just stories that are supposibly funny. As for the other question, about the tech support, I should say one challenge is for them to answer our stupid questions.
4. How did Robert Ripley contribute to people's fascination with the unusual or odd?
- He caught peoples fascination by doing unusual things that intruiged others.
5. You get an email from your computer buddy. It says that if you forward the email message to everyone in your email address book, you'll get a dollar per address in two weeks. You could really use the fast cash to buy gas. What steps should you take?
- First of you should not even believe this stuff. Its just a chain letter, which is just a waste of time, in my opinion. I would delete the message and warn my friends about it.
6. What is the name of the federal agency that deals with safety in products?
- the name fo the federal agenct that deals with safety in products is called the U.S Consumer Product Saftey Commission
7. Identity theft is a serious problem. List three ways to protect yourself.
- Do not share your information with others, no matter how close
- Shred up all the papers with your personal information, like the envelopes that come addressed to you
- Never share your password with anyone

Next, contact the fraud departments of any one of the four consumer reporting agencies to place a fraud alert on your credit report. The fraud alert tells creditors to contact you before opening any new accounts or making any changes to your existing accounts.
